Living with, caring for, and supporting someone with dementia can feel confusing, and isolating. You’re probably searching for answers, reassurance, or simply someone who will listen without judgment.

Seeing Dementia Differently offers guidance designed to help you feel heard, informed, and more confident about being a rare dementia, or young dementia carer.

How Seeing Dementia Differently Can Support You.

I offer dedicated guidance calls for young dementia carers, carers supporting someone with Posterior Cortical Atrophy (PCA), and those wanting to learn more about rare dementia, including professional consultations.

Each call includes:

  • 30 minute video or telephone call

  • Empathetic, non-judgmental listening

  • Clear education and information about dementia, including rare types

  • Practical tips and techniques you can put into practice immediately

  • Signposting to relevant services and guidance on next steps

You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out. The call is a space to talk, ask questions, and gain clarity.

We know that you don’t always want to talk about dementia. That is why we have organised a range of summer events for young carers and people affected by young onset dementias - come and mingle, have a normal conversation, knowing you’ll be understood if you do want to talk dementia. The idea is to give you a break from your caring duties.

Our events will include:

  • Karaoke, pub evenings, and pottery painting

  • A space to discuss dementia and being a young carer with people who really get it if you want to

  • Fun, connection, and compassion

  • A bit of respite from your caring role

  • Dementia Friendly venues so you can bring the person you are caring for if you would like
