Seeing Dementia Differently Winter Social
We know that when you are living with dementia or caring for someone with dementia, it can feel like there is very little time for fun. Sometimes, you just need a break. A space to relax, sit back, and connect with people who truly understand your journey.
Our winter social aims to bring the whole community together at Boom Battle Bar in Ealing for a fun afternoon. Everyone is welcome, whether you are a caregiver or living with dementia yourself. Friends of the SDD community are also welcome!
Event Details
Date: Sunday 22nd November
Event Time: 14:00 to 18:00 (You do not have to stay for the whole event, come for however long you like!)
Karaoke: 14:00 to 15:00
Augmented Reality Darts: 15:00 to 17:00
Mingle & Drinks: 15:00 to 18:00

Event Schedule & What to Expect
🎤 14:00 to 15:00: Karaoke
Places are limited to 10 people.
🍹 15:00 onwards: Mingle & Drinks
Everyone is welcome to join us. The social runs until 18:00, but you can leave whenever you like.
🎯 15:00 to 17:00: Augmented Reality Darts
Set up in a lane right next to our table, so you can dip in and out as you chat.
This is a low pressure event where you can come and have fun. There is never any expectation to talk about dementia but you know you would be understood if you did. We always have a quiet space available in case you or your loved one need a moment to yourself at our events.
Who Can Attend?
This event is inclusive and open to everyone in the dementia community. While we are passionate about supporting young carers (defined for our group as ages 8–35), you do not need to be a young carer to attend. Everyone is welcome!
Accessibility & Accommodations
We want this event to be comfortable for everyone.
Bring Your Loved One: You are invited to bring your loved one living with dementia. We offer a reduced ticket price for them.
Quiet Space: We understand that loud environments can be overwhelming. We will have a dedicated quiet space available throughout the afternoon if your loved one needs a break from the activity.
Additional Needs: Please let us know in advance if you require any specific accommodations, and we will do our absolute best to ensure you are supported.

Karaoke Tickets
Karaoke tickets include 1 hour of karaoke from 14:00 to 15:00. This ticket also gives you access to the rest of the social event from 15:00 to 18:00.
