Young Adult Carers Pub Garden Meet Up: Join us for an afternoon of connection with people who get it
Have a drink with us (non-alcoholic or alcoholic, whatever you prefer) in Vauxhall, London on August 22nd!
We know that as a carer for someone with young-onset dementia, life is often focused on caregiving, appointments, and routine. Sometimes, you just need a break—a space to relax, have fun, and connect with people who truly understand your journey.
That’s why we’re hosting a relaxed meet up at The Riverside, Vauxhall. Whether you want to talk about caregiving or simply enjoy a drink and a chat, this afternoon is all about you.
Event Details

Arrival Time: 16:30 onwards
Table Reservation from: 16:30 - 18:30
Location: TBC (Info below)
Capacity: Limited to 10 people to keep the group intimate and friendly.
What to Expect
Just think ‘going to the pub with some friends’ - that’s our goal with this meet-up! We have a table reserved for 10 people from 16:30 to 18:30 so come and have a drink, a chat, and get to know some other young adult carers!
After 18:30, you are more than welcome to keep the evening going at the same bar or somewhere more exciting, we just won’t be able to stay at the table.
Who Can Attend?
This event is open to the young adult dementia carers & friends of Seeing Dementia Differently. While we are passionate about supporting everyone affected by dementia, it is also important for younger carers to feel like there is a space that is just for them. Thank you for understanding this and please know that we will have more events for you to attend in future if this one isn’t right for you.
Accessibility & Accommodations
We want this event to be comfortable for everyone.
Get in touch: I know that social settings can be overwhelming. If you would like to get connected ahead of the event so it doesn’t feel like meeting strangers, send us an email or a message on social media!
Spacious Venue: We have tried to choose a pub that is accessible from all across London. We also wanted to make sure we could sit outside and enjoy the sunshine.
Additional Needs: Please let us know in advance if you require any specific accommodations, and we will do our absolute best to ensure you are supported.
