What is Akinetopsia? Understanding Visual Motion Blindness (Seeing Dementia Differently)

Imagine if the world moved in freeze-frames instead of smooth motion. In this video, we explore akinetopsia, also referred to as visual motion blindness. Damage to the brain areas that affect visual processing can result from strokes, brain injuries, or neurodegenerative conditions like Posterior Cortical Atrophy (PCA).
